The Catch

Mooching for salmon offers a more interactive experience, allowing customers to feel the excitement of actively hooking a fish. This technique involves casting out a line with a herring hooked to a leader and attached to a sinker. As the herring sinks and spins through the water, its movement mimics natural prey, drawing in the salmon and enticing them to bite.

  • Fishing tutorials will be provided by Captain Kyle during each trip and ongoing tips and tricks throughout the trip

  • Top rated fishing rods and gear

  • Snacks and beverages will be offered

  • We will be offering a prize (Free Afternoon Trip) for who catches the 
biggest salmon for the year.
 The free trip can be redeemed the following year.

  • The boat that customers will embark on is the a clean 2017 Grady White Fisherman 209 which includes a bathroom for customers convenience. The boat is equipped with radar and kicker-motor to improve the customers’ experience.

Tengu Charters provides on-site tutorials that teach clientele a unique Japanese American-influenced style of fishing.
